Towns take on a completely different appearance at night. The mix of light and colours often surrounded by pitch black, make subjects standout in a way the don't during the day. This can be a challenge for the travel photographer, who's often want's to remain inconspicuous, so flash and a tripod aren't always the best thing. A fast lens is a must and higher ISO, but the payoff is normally additional noise which can be corrected to some decree in Lightroom. These were all taken hand held with a Leica M240 with a 35mm f1.4 lens and ISO between 800-3200.
